This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it and how we protect it. It is short because we collect very little.

What we collect
When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, the subject you select and the content of your message. We also store the language you choose so the site can remember it.
Why we process it
Only to read and answer your enquiry, to keep a record of our correspondence and to meet the accountability obligations that apply to a registered NGO. We never sell or rent personal data.
Legal basis
We process contact-form data on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to you. Your language preference is stored because it is strictly necessary for the site to function.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, unless they form part of a partnership or funding record we are required to retain.
Who can see it
Only authorised staff and board members who need to. Our hosting provider processes data on our behalf under a data-processing agreement.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent at any time. These rights are granted by the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 of Tanzania and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation. We respond within 30 days.
